About Niki

As a therapist, I strive to create a welcoming environment for each individual I see. I aim for clients to feel like the expert in the room, as you are the person who understands yourself best. I utilize feminist, multicultural, and affirming approaches to help clients gain a better understanding of themselves and how they deal with day-to-day life. In therapy sessions, I work to help clients develop insight into the things they find most important and then focus on living life in ways congruent with these values. Developing a better understanding of oneself and what is important can lead to changes in thoughts and behaviors, and eventually to changes in feelings, relationships, and overall wellbeing. I practice using a combination of cognitive behavioral and acceptance and commitment-based therapies, while always paying close attention to the therapeutic relationship.
